Membership

mapIf you live or teach in Broome, Chemung, Cortland, Schuyler, Steuben, Tioga, or Tompkins counties, you should consider joining the Southern Section of STANYS. For teachers, we provide an opportunity for professional development and networking to help strengthen one’s teaching and collaboration. Workshops in sections across New York State and at the Annual Conference provide the highest quality professional development from trained and experienced colleagues as well as many social and collegial opportunities.

STANYS activities are open to all science teachers and their students in the Southern area, regardless of their membership status. Nonetheless, your membership is important to the viability of the Southern section and the continuation of section events. If you are new to the profession or have allowed your membership to lapse in recent years, please join now!
